About the Speaker:
Yuan Liu, was born in Sichuan Provence, became a Buddhist monk in 1991, then studied Buddhist teachings from Minnan Buddhist College, The Buddhist Academy of China, and The Postgraduate Institute of Pali and Buddhist Studies, University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka respectively, received a Ph.D. degree in 2005. Currently, he is an Associate Professor of the Buddhist Academy of China in Beijing, also serves as supervisors of Minnan Buddhist College, The Buddhist Academy of Zhejiang, Hanshan Buddhist College etc. During 2005 and 2010, he had also taught in the International Buddhist College of Thailand and The Buddhist College of Singapore respectively.
