Dipen Barua is Honorary Lecturer at the Centre of Buddhist Studies at The University of Hong Kong (HKU) and Visiting Assistant Professor at The Buddha–Dharma Centre of Hong Kong. He was the Vajiramedhi Visiting Fellow at the Faculty of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Oxford in 2026. His academic interests include Pāli textual studies, Buddhism in South and Southeast Asia, cultural heritage, and Engaged Buddhism. He obtained his Bachelor’s in Pali from Calcutta University and his first Master’s in Pali from University of Pune, India. He received a second Master’s degree, MPhil, and PhD in Buddhist Studies from HKU. He receive the award for achieving first class first in his Bachelor’s degree, and several scholarships, including the prestigious Hong Kong PhD Fellowship for his doctoral studies.
Dipen is the author of the book The Notion of Fetter in Early Buddhism (2018) and has published several articles in both Bengali and English. His recent article “Buddhism in Bengal” was included in The Oxford Research Encyclopedia of Religion (2025). In addition to his research, he is a prolific writer on Buddhism and society and regularly contributes to Buddhistdoor Global, a Hong Kong based website.

Nadine Bregler is currently a Glorisun Postdoctoral Fellow specialising in medieval Chinese history and manuscript studies. Her research centres on previously overlooked Buddhist poetry collections dating from the ninth to the twelfth centuries. Focusing on the transition from manuscript culture to the introduction of print, she examines how texts were compiled, organised, and edited during the Song dynasty (960–1279), particularly in light of the loss of many Tang-era (618–907) manuscripts.
Nadine Bregler completed her PhD at the Centre for the Study of Manuscript Culture at the University of Hamburg in 2025. Her doctoral thesis analysed literary multiple-text manuscripts from Dunhuang, reassessing their use and value for both producers and later users. She has published in edited volumes, including Saved from Desert Sands: Re-discovering Objects on the Silk Roads (Brill, 2024), where she discusses the handling and use of manuscripts as objects, and Graffiti Scratched, Scrawled, Sprayed: Towards a Cross-Cultural Understanding (De Gruyter, 2023), in which she examines Chinese graffiti in Dunhuang. |

Jinhua Chen, a native of Minhou, Fujian, is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada and Professor in the Department of Asian Studies at the University of British Columbia, where he also long held the prestigious Canada Research Chair in East Asian Buddhism. His research spans a wide range of fields, including the history of interactions between monks and laity in East Asia, medieval Buddhist sectarian historiography, apocryphal scriptures, medieval Buddhist hagiographical literature, Buddhist translation literature, monastic economy, Chan/Zen history, Buddhism and technological innovation, and Buddhism-mediated cross-cultural exchange. His scholarship combines rigorous philological research with broad intellectual-historical vision. Professor Chen has published six scholarly monographs, with three more forthcoming, edited and co-edited more than forty volumes, and authored over one hundred academic articles. His research projects have received support from major international funding institutions, including the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada, the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science, the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, the Max Planck Institutes, and the U.S. National Humanities Center. In recent years, he has directed the major international collaborative project “From the Ground Up: Buddhism and East Asian Religions” (FROGBEAR), which seeks to rethink important dimensions of Buddhism and East Asian religions through interdisciplinary approaches while further advancing the internationalization of East Asian Buddhist Studies.

Ruifeng Chen is a young scholar specializing in Chinese Buddhism, particularly indigenous scriptures, Dunhuang manuscripts, and epitaphs of Buddhist nuns. He received his Ph.D. from McMaster University in 2020. Following a postdoctoral fellowship at the School of Literature of Zhejiang University, he began to work as a Research Professor of the 100 Young Professors Program in 2023. His academic journey also includes studying at Kyoto University as a visiting research student (2019–2020) and working at Columbia University as a Sheng Yen Postdoctoral Research Scholar and Adjunct Assistant Professor (2024). His representative publications include two articles in the journal T’oung Pao. Currently, he is leading a project on Chinese Buddhist nuns’ epitaphs up to the Yuan dynasty, funded by the National Social Science Fund of China. |

Zhinan Chen received her Ph.D. in Asian Languages and Literature from the University of Washington, Seattle and is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Manuscripts, Dunhuang Academy. Her research focuses on Dunhuang manuscripts and the manuscript culture of medieval China. She received her M.A. degrees from SOAS, University of London, and from the Department of Asian Languages and Literature at the University of Washington. Her academic interests include medieval Chinese literature, Dunhuang Buddhist studies, and textual and manuscript studies more broadly.

Eunsu Cho is Professor Emeritus of Buddhist Philosophy at Seoul National University. She earned her Ph.D. in Buddhist Studies from the University of California, Berkeley, and has written extensively on Indian Abhidharma Buddhism, Korean Buddhist thought, and women in Buddhism. She is the author of Language and Meaning: Buddhist Interpretations of “The Buddha’s Word” in Indian and East Asian Perspectives and numerous book chapters and journal articles. Her Korean-language work Buddhism, Modernity, and the Discovery of Women was named an Outstanding Book by Korea’s National Academy of Sciences in 2023. Feng Guodong is Dean and professor in the College of Humanities at Zhejiang University. Born in 1974 in Tunliu, Shanxi Province, he received his B.A. in Agriculture from Shanxi Agricultural University in 1996, his M.A. in Chinese Literature from Lanzhou University in 2001, and his Ph.D. in Chinese Literature from Fudan University in 2004. He subsequently conducted postdoctoral research at Nanjing University before joining Zhejiang University in 2006. Professor Feng’s research focuses on Chinese Buddhist philology, Chinese-language Buddhist texts, and the relationship between Buddhism and Chinese literature. He is particularly known for his studies of Song and Yuan editions of Buddhist texts, Buddhist catalogues, and Khara-Khoto Buddhist manuscripts. His major publications include Research on Chinese Buddhist Catalogues, Buddhist Texts and Buddhist Literature, as well as influential articles such as “A Study of Song and Yuan Editions of the Jingde chuandeng lu” and “Toward a Systematic Framework for Chinese Buddhist Philology.” His scholarship has made significant contributions to the development of Chinese Buddhist textual studies. |

Imre Galambos is a specialist of medieval Chinese manuscripts from Dunhuang and other sites along the Silk Road. He has received his PhD in 2002 from the University of California, Berkeley, with a dissertation on the structure of the Chinese script during the Warring States period. Following graduation, he worked for the International Dunhuang Project (IDP) at the British Library. In 2012, he took up a teaching position at the University of Cambridge, spending there eleven years teaching subjects related to premodern China. In 2023, he moved to Zhejiang University, where he is now Qiushi Chair Professor. His last book Dunhuang Manuscript Culture: End of the First Millennium (2020) focused on the codicological and palaeographic features of Dunhuang manuscripts during the long tenth century. |

Rong He is a Research Professor in the Division of Social Theory at the Institute of Sociology, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. She received her B.A. and M.A. in History from Shaanxi Normal University and her Ph.D. in Sociology from Peking University in 2003. She has also conducted visiting research at the Institute for Studies of Religion at Baylor University and the Berkley Center for Religion, Peace, and World Affairs at Georgetown University.
Her research focuses on social theory, sociology of religion, the history of economic sociology, and Chinese religion and traditional culture. She is particularly known for her studies of Max Weber, comparative social theory, Chinese Buddhism, and the relationship between religion and modernity. In addition to serving as a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, she holds several major academic positions in Chinese sociology and religious studies associations.
Professor He has authored influential monographs, including Sociology and Economics: Max Weber and the Fundamental Problems of Social Science and Forms of Religious Economy: Chinese Experience and Theoretical Explorations. She has also led numerous national research projects funded by major Chinese academic institutions. Her scholarship is widely recognized for combining rigorous theoretical inquiry with deep engagement in Chinese historical and religious experience. |

JIN Mingjun, male, Korean ethnic group in China, was born in 1999 in Yanbian, Jilin Province, China. He is currently a Ph.D. student at the National Key Research Institute of Daoism and Religious Culture, Sichuan University, under the supervision of Professor WANG Dawei. Primary research interests include the institutional systems of Chinese Buddhism (Han Tradition), the institutional systems of Theravāda Buddhism, and the history of Buddhism in Republican China. His master’s thesis, titled Research on the Sutra of the Contemplation of Dharmatrāta, systematically analyzed the structural correspondence between the Sutra of the Contemplation of Dharmatrāta and the Five Gateways of Meditation, and conducted comparative analyses with the Sūtra of the Samādhi of Seated Meditation and the Visuddhimaga (Path of Purification), exploring the distinctive contributions of the text in terms of meditation methods, theoretical foundations, and practical significance. He has been invited to present papers at academic conferences including the 6th International Conference on East Asian Religious Culture and the 2025 Annual Conference of the Chinese Confucius Society. |

John Jorgensen is currently an independent scholar; his doctoral dissertation (Australian National University 1990) was on Chan and poetics. He taught Japanese Studies at Griffith University for twenty years. He has published on East Asian Buddhism and on Korean new religions. Chief publications include Inventing Hui-neng, the Sixth Patriarch: Hagiography and Biography in Early Ch’an (2005) and The Foresight of Dark Knowing: Chŏng Kam Nok and Insurrectionary Prognostication in Pre-modern Korea (2018); three volumes of translation in the Collected Works of Korean Buddhism series [vol. 3, Hyujeong: Selected Works; vol. 7-2, Gongan Collections II; vol. 8, Seon Dialogues] (2012), A Handbook of Korean Zen Practice: A Mirror on the Sŏn School of Buddhism (Sŏn’ga kwigam) (2015), and The Gyeongheo Collection:Prose and Poetry by the Restorer of Korean Seon (2016). Recent research has been on Chan and Zhu Xi, the developments of Buddhism in early Republican China, Yogacara in the late Ming, language and the diffusion of Chan, varieties of Sinitic used in Korea, and participation in a team translation of the Dasheng qixin lun into English (Treatise on Awakening Mahāyāna Faith, New York: Oxford University Press, 2019).

Jiyun Kim is a Research Professor at the Buddhist Culture Research Institute, Dongguk University in Korea. She specializes in the East Asia Buddhism, focusing on the Awakening of Faith in Mahāyāna 大乘起信論 and its commentarial traditions. Her research examines the manuscripts of the commentaries on the Awakening of Faith in Mahāyāna including the Shi Moheyan lun 釋摩訶衍論, Fazang’s Dasheng qixin lun yiji 大乘起信論義記, and Wonhyo’s Gisillon-byeolgi 起信論別記. Her recent work explores how Chinese Huayan masters Fazang (法藏, 643-712), Li Tongxuan 李通玄 (635-730), and Chengguan 澄觀 (738-839) integrated the Awakening of Faith’s concepts into Huayan thought.

Sung-Eun Thomas Kim is Assistant Professor at the Academy of Buddhist Studies, Dongguk University, and an associate editor for the International Journal of Buddhist Thought and Culture.
His academic interests lie in the social history of Korean Buddhism during the late Chosŏn period, in particular on the temple cultural activities including literary exchanges between the monastics and the Confucian scholar-officials. Currently, he is working on a project on the rise and formation of Korean Buddhism during the early seventeenth century.
He has authored Buddhist Apologetics in Early Modern Korea: Treaties and Memorials by Joseon Period Monks (2020) and journal articles including “What was a Monk in Joseon Korea? Competing Monastic Identities According to the State, a Monastic Biographer, and a Confucian literatus” (2025). |

Mónika Kiss received her master’s degree in Japanese studies and art history at the Faculty of Humanities of Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) in 2012. She then completed her PhD in Japanese Studies at ELTE in 2018. Since 2018, she has been a Lecturer (2018-2022) and Assistant Professor (2022-) at the Department of Japanese Studies at ELTE. Her main areas of expertise include Japanese Buddhism and Buddhist art. She regularly participates in both Hungarian and international academic conferences. She teaches courses of Japanese art, Japanese Buddhism, translation, and reading of Japanese texts in undergraduate, graduate, and PhD levels. Between 2014 and 2015, she conducted doctoral research at Ōtani University in Kyoto as a recipient of the Bukkyō Dendō Kyōkai (Society for the Promotion of Buddhism) fellowship for foreign scholars. In the summer of 2019, she worked as a visiting researcher at the Kokusai Bukkyōgaku Daigakuin Daigaku (International College for Postgraduate Buddhist Studies) in Tokyo. Between 2020 and 2024, she was conducting joint research with sinologist Prof. Dr. Imre Hamar, funded by the Bukkyō Dendō Kyōkai. Their project focused on the philological and iconographic developments of Samantabhadra Bodhisattva in East Asia.

LI Bohan is an Assistant Professor (Teaching) in the School of Humanities and Social Science at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen. She received her Ph.D. from The Education University of Hong Kong in 2017, under the supervision of Professor Zhu Qingzhi, a renowned scholar in Buddhist Chinese studies. Her primary research focuses on Middle Chinese grammar and Buddhist Chinese grammar. By utilizing a Sanskrit-Chinese collation approach, she is dedicated to investigating the impact of language contact brought about by the introduction of Buddhism on the diachronic evolution of the Chinese language. In 2023, she published the monograph A Grammatical Study of the Sukhāvatīvyūha Sūtra Based on Sanskrit-Chinese Collation. Furthermore, she has published seven papers in domestic and international academic journals, and has participated as a team member in three Major Projects of the National Social Science Fund of China. |

Wei LI (born in 1991) received his Doctor degree of Literature from Peking University and currently serves as an associate professor at the Department of Chinese Language and Literature at Henan University, where he also fulfills the role of a supervisor for master’s students. His teaching portfolio includes courses such as “The History of Classical Chinese Literature,” “Classical Chinese Literary Theory,” and “Fictions of the Six Dynasties,” among others. His academic pursuits are centered on Buddhist Avadāna literature, the history of Classical Chinese literature, and the literary theories of the Six Dynasties. His research delves into the intricate relationship between Chinese Buddhism and literature, exploring topics such as novels, poems and Buddhist biographies in early medieval China. Additionally, he is actively involved in the translation of Buddhist scriptures into English, bridging cultural gaps and facilitating a deeper understanding of Buddhist teachings. He authored a translated work and published numerous research papers in prestigious journals, including World Religions Research, Religions, and Hualin International Journal of Buddhist Studies. He also leads one National Social Science Project, one social science project funded by the Henan Provincial Government and other projects. |

李雪濤教授,現任北京外國語大學歷史學院院長、全球史研究院院長。德國國家科學院院士,德國波恩大學文學碩士、哲學博士。主要從事全球史、中外關係史、德國哲學史以及中國佛教史的研究。東亞文化交涉學會(大阪,2017-2018)會長以及中國中外關係史學會(北京,2017-2022, 2022-)副會長。著作有:A Multilingual Dictionary of Chinese Buddhism. (Together with Ch. Kleine & M. Pye, 1999), Die Übertragung buddhistischer Sūtras ins Chinesische. Theorie und Praxis am Beispiel von Zanning (919-1001) (2019),《德國漢學研究史稿》(2021)、《雅斯貝爾斯與中國:論哲學的世界史建構》(2021)、Dialog des Missverständnisses. Prof. Li Xuetao is currently Dean of the School of History and Director of the Institute for Global History at Beijing Foreign Studies University. He is a member of the German National Academy of Sciences Leopoldina (ML) and he has received a Master of Arts and Ph.D. from the University of Bonn (Rhenish Friedrich Wilhelm University of Bonn). He is mainly engaged in the research of global history, the history of Sino-foreign relations, the history of German philosophy, and the history of Chinese Buddhism. He was the president of the Society for Cultural Interaction in East Asia (Osaka, 2017-2018) and vice president of the Chinese Society for the History of Sino-Foreign Relations (Beijing, 2017-2022, 2022-). Publications include: A Multilingual Dictionary of Chinsese Buddhism (Together with Ch. Kleine & M. Pye, 1999), Die Übertragung buddhistischer Sūtras ins Chinesische. Lu Lu holds a Ph.D. in Literature from Zhejiang University and is a Distinguished Associate Researcher at the Institute of Ancient Books of Zhejiang University. She serves as a master’s student advisor and teaches courses such as “Ancient Chinese”, “Introduction to Medieval Chinese Translations”, and “Philology”. Her research focuses on the history of Chinese vocabulary and the language of Buddhist scriptures. Luo Mujun is an associate professor and the vice dean of the School of Humanities at Zhejiang University of Technology. She received her PhD in Chinese Classical Philology from Zhejiang University in 2018. Her research focuses on Dunhuang manuscripts, Chinese Buddhist apocryphal scriptures, codicology, and Chinese philology. She is particularly known for her work on reconstructing fragmentary Dunhuang manuscripts. She has completed a project supported by the “Youth Program of the National Social Science Foundation of China”, and she is going to publish the result of the project, the book Dunhuang hanwenben Bayang jing zhengli yu yanjiu 敦煌漢文本《八陽經》整理與研究 (Collation and Research of Dunhuang Chinese Manuscripts of the Scripture of Bayang). She is now working on the project “Dunhuang hanwenben Jin’gang jing zhengli yanjiu ji shujuku jianshe 敦煌漢文本《金剛經》綜合 整理研究及數據庫建設 (Collation and Research and Database of Dunhuang Chinese Manuscripts of the Diamond Sūtra)”, supported by the “Key Program of the National Social Science Foundation of China”.

Thomas (Tom) Newhall is a lecturer in the department of Indian Philosophy and Buddhist Studies at the University of Tokyo. Before completing his PhD in the Department of Asian Languages and Cultures at UCLA in 2025, he spent a year as a Fulbright-Hays Fellow in Kyoto and Taipei, completed a Masters Degree in the Department of Indian Philosophy and Buddhist Studies at the University of Tokyo in 2016, a Master’s degree in Buddhist Studies at Foguang University (Taiwan) in 2012, and a BA in East Asian Studies at Oberlin College (Ohio, USA) in 2007.
His research focuses on the development of Buddhist monasticism in East Asia, in particular Vinaya literature and the work of the Tang-dynasty scholar-monk Daoxuan. |

Ven. Chongdok 正德 (PARK Cheonghwan 朴淸渙) is Professor of the College of Buddhist Studies and Director of Buddhist Culture Research Institute at Dongguk University in Seoul, Korea. He received his DPhil degree in Buddhist Studies at the University of Oxford in 2005 based on his dissertation entitled, A Translation and Study of Selected Avadānas of the Mūlasarvāstivādin Vinaya (MSV). His main research interest is the Buddhist narratives. Recently, he is also doing research on the contemporary Korean Buddhism. A Study on the Narrative of Apalāla in the Mūlasarvāstivādavinaya Bhaiṣajyavastu (2014). Valeriia Solostova is an independent sinologist specialising in historical Chinese linguistics and East Asian language contact. She holds a B.A. in Oriental and African Studies from Kazan Federal University, where she graduated with highest honors. Her research explores how sustained contact with Inner Asian and Buddhist traditions shaped the Chinese language across the imperial period. She is particularly interested in Buddhist translation, northern Chinese varieties, and the social life of literary genres. She is currently investigating Manchu-influenced Mandarin as a socially recognized contact variety in late Qing Beijing, focusing on bannermen performance genres and administrative texts as key sites of linguistic transmission. |

Sun Yinggang, Ph.D. from Princeton University, is a Qiushi Distinguished Professor at Zhejiang University, serving as Deputy Director of the Division of Humanities, Associate Dean of the Institute of Asian Civilizations, and Director of the Buddhist Civilization Research Center. He is a recipient of the Ministry of Education’s Young Changjiang Scholar award. He played a key role in the planning and establishment of the School of History at Zhejiang University. He also serves as vice President of the Chinese Society for the Study of Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties History, and Editor-in-Chief of the academic journal Studies in Asian Civilizations. His research focuses on medieval Chinese history, Buddhist history, and the history of the Silk Road. His major publications include The Age of Divine Conceptions, A History of the Sui, Tang, and Five Dynasties, and A History of Gandharan Civilization.

王悅(Yue WANG),日本京都大學綜合生存學館(思修館)博士候選人。其研究致力於構建傳統佛教心理學(尤以唯識學爲中心)與現代認知科學(如正念干預訓練、冥想機制)之間的深度對話。王悅擅長通過漢譯與藏文平行文獻進行跨語言的語義分析,目前專注於唯識學派“心心所法”(citta-cetasika)的結構建模,旨在從理論結構上重新闡釋“念”(smṛti)在古典文獻與現代正念干預訓練(MBIs)及正念冥想中的運行機制差異。其研究曾獲得京都大學“武者修行”海外調查項目資助,並曾作爲訪問研究員在尼泊爾 Rangjung Yeshe Institute 佛教研究中心開展長期的文獻實地考察與學術交流。
Yue WANG is a PhD candidate at the Graduate School of Advanced Integrated Studies in Human Survivability (GSAIS), Kyoto University. Her research focuses on fostering a dialogue between traditional Buddhist psychology—specifically the Yogācāra traditions—and modern cognitive science, including Mindfulness-Based Interventions (MBIs) and the mechanisms of meditation. Specializing in cross-linguistic semantic analysis of Chinese and Tibetan parallel texts, she is currently developing structural models of “mind and mental factors” (citta-cetasika). Her work seeks to re-elucidate the diverging operational mechanisms of smṛti as it transitions from classical canonical contexts to modern MBIs and mindfulness meditation practices. Her research is supported by Kyoto University’s “Musha-shugyo” grant for overseas fieldwork, which enabled her long-term residency as an Affiliated Researcher at the Rangjung Yeshe Institute’s Center for Buddhist Studies in Nepal. |

Nobuyoshi Yamabe 山部能宜 is a professor of Asian Philosophy at Waseda University 早稲田大學. Previous to this position, he served as a professor at Kyūshū Ryūkoku Junior College 九州龍谷短期大學 and professor of Bioethics and Foreign Languages at Tōkyō University of Agriculture 東京農業大學. He obtained his PhD degree from Yale in 1999 with a well-elaborated dissertation on the fifth century Chinese Buddhist apocryphon, Guanfo sanmei hai jing 觀佛三昧海經 [Sūtra on the Ocean-Like Samādhi of the Visualization of the Buddha]. His research interests primarily cover the following fields: Indian Yogācāra thoughts, and Buddhist meditation and visualization, particularly regarding Central Asian Buddhist texts and art. He has published prolifically on these subjects. |

Yan Yaozhong, born in Cicheng, Zhejiang, obtained his graduate degree in 1982 and was promoted exceptionally as an associate professor in 1988, and as professor in 1992. From 1994 to 1996, Yan was the visiting scholar in the Religious Studies Department at McMaster University and at the University of Toronto. From 2013 to 2014, he was the visiting researcher at the Israel Institute for Advanced Studies. Yan was also a recipient of the European Institutes for Advanced Study Fellowship Programme. He is currently a Distinguished Professor in the History Department at Beijing Normal University. ZHANG Rui holds a PhD in Chinese Studies from Institut national des Langues et Civilisation orientales (NALCO ; 2022). She is currently a lecturer in Chinese at Université Lumière Lyon 2 and a researcher at the Institut d’Asie orientale (IAO). Her field of research is classical Chinese literature, with a primary focus on poetry and literati culture in early medieval China. She is particularly interested in writing practices, textual transmission, literati sociability, and landscape writing. Grounded in philology while also engaging with literary and cultural history, her research further addresses translation, textual mediation, and the formation of canons, examining how texts are reinterpreted and transformed as they circulate across linguistic and cultural contexts.
From 2022 to 2024, she was a postdoctoral researcher at the Collège de France and the Bibliothèque nationale de France, where she worked on a rare corpus of visual and textual materials, including Ming- and Qing-period prints and rubbings, as well as Buddhist scriptures and apocryphal texts. This work involved not only the organization of materials and philological analysis, but also the study of their circulation and reinterpretation across different linguistic, medial, and cultural settings. She subsequently served as a temporary lecturer and researcher (ATER) at the École normale supérieure de Lyon (2024-2025), and has also taught at INALCO and Université Paris Cité. She has published several articles on early medieval Chinese poetry, literati culture, and writing practices.
張蕊,法國國立東方語言文化學院博士(2022),現任里昂第二大學中文專任講師,並為法國東亞學院研究員。其研究領域為中國古典文學,主要聚焦中古時期的詩歌與士人文化,尤重書寫實踐、文本傳承、士人交遊與山水書寫。其研究方法以文獻學為基礎,兼顧文學史與文化史視角,並關注翻譯、文獻中介與經典生成等問題,探討文本如何在跨語言與跨文化的流動中被重新理解與轉化。
2022至2024年間,張蕊曾於法蘭西公學院與法國國家圖書館從事博士後研究,圍繞一批珍稀圖像與文獻材料展開考察,所涉範圍包括明清時期版畫、拓片,以及佛經與疑偽經。相關工作不僅涉及材料整理與文獻辨析,也觸及其在不同語言、媒介與文化脈絡中的流轉與再詮釋。此後,她曾於里昂高等師範學校擔任臨時助理教授與研究人員(2024–2025),亦曾任教於國立東方語言文化學院與巴黎西岱大學。已發表多篇關於中國中古詩歌、士人文化與書寫實踐的研究論文。

Zhao You is currently associate professor in the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies, Peking University. Her doctoral thesis focuses on the figure of Vimalakīrti from the Indic to the Chinese context. Apart from the transmission of Buddhism in the 2-5th century, she also has special interests in early Indian metaphysics and linguistic philosophy. Currently, she has carried out a project on the chapter of time from the Vākyapadīya (On Sentence and Word) with the support of National Social Science Funds for Junior Scholars. Her recent publications include: “Oneself as Another: Yantraputraka Metaphors in Buddhist Literature” (Religions, 2023); “The Moving Feast: Reading into the Fragrant Chapter of the Vimalakīrtinirdeśa” (IJBTC, 2021); “The Wheel Unturned: A Study of the Zhuan falun jing (T109)” (JIABS, 2020); “Time in Early Indian Philosophy: From Patañjali to Bhartṛhari” (Foreign Philosophy, 2018); she is also a co-translator of The Impact of Buddhism on Chinese Material Culture by John Kieschnick.
